Giz is a monkey who has many questions about life outside the fence. The arrival of a mischievous new monkey, Skink, provides him with the opportunity to find answers. Together they go off on an adventure, through the wildlife park and out into the human world. In the course of their journey, Giz finds many answers and also discovers why, whilst being curious about humans, monkeys like Skink who have suffered at their hands, are cynical about them. He comes to realise that he had been happy behind the fence, with the tribe, but before he can return he must help Skink make his break for freedom.
