Gone are the days when a teacher had a maximum of fifteen students in his classroom. With the growing awareness of literacy in our country, teachers can no longer pay individual attention to all the students in his/her over-filled class. Thus, the need arises for workbooks which will help to convey the lessons easily, to each student of the Radiant Way. These workbooks have been prepared carefully so that the teacher no longer has to spend his/her time preparing lessons from the text for the children.
As each page of the workbook matches a lesson in the text, by working on these books, the children will not only be able to understand the text better, but will also learn more basic English e.g. pronunciation, construction of sentences, vocabulary, reading and grammar.
This series of workbooks have been planned with the needs of the child in mind, for his/her progress in learning English, as he/she works along with the series of the Radiant Way.
Thus most of the lessons in the workbook offer three basic activities:
1. Those directly related to the text;
2. Improving the child's basic English;
3. Practical activities for enhancing the children's capacity to think and learn by themselves by helping to create an alert and receptive mind.
A nightingale is a bird. It is not very big and it sings beautifully. It lives in a forest and sings in the night.
There was once a King of China who lived near a forest. One night, he was sitting by a window. He was reading a book. He heard a nightingale singing in the forest. It was singing beautifully.
“What kind of bird is that?' he said. “I must have it."
We should try to use simple, easy and motivating teaching method for our soft-hearted kids. We should teach them to pray and ask help from Allah Ta'la for the ability to use this knowledge in good deeds.
Giving Lessons: Teachers and Parents would give them idea of the using of the letters at first. Then the corresponding words and sentences. Learning step by step writing and choosing the correct words is the next step. Writing practice by using practice copy is important for strengthening the learning.
বাংলা, ইংরেজি, আরবি , উর্দু যেমন একটি ভাষা ও বিদ্যা, সঙ্গীতও তেমনি একটি বিদ্যা। বিদ্যাশিক্ষার গোড়ার কথা যেমন বর্ণজ্ঞান, সঙ্গীত শিক্ষার গোড়ার কথাও তেমনি সুর বা স্বরজ্ঞান। অক্ষর বা বর্ণ সম্বন্ধে স্পষ্ট ধারণা না থাকলে যেমন শিশু বা ছোটদের নিকটা ভাষা দুর্বোধ্য হয়ে ওঠে তেমনি সঙ্গীতশিক্ষার ক্ষেত্রেও আরম্ভ থেকে স্বরজ্ঞান লাভ না হলে সারাজীবনই শিক্ষার্থীকে একটি দিকে পঙ্গু হয়ে থাকতে হয়। কাজেই ছোটদের সঙ্গীতশিক্ষা-সম্বন্ধীয় পুস্তকে সুর ও স্বরজ্ঞান যাতে সরল, সহজ ও সুষ্ঠুভাবে পরিবেশন করা যায় সেই দিকে দৃষ্টি রাখা পুস্তক রচয়িতাদের অবশ্য কর্তব্য। ছোটদের পরিবেশ ও অভিজ্ঞতার ভিত্তিতে পুস্তকে পর্যাপ্ত অনুশীলনের ব্যবস্থা করার প্রয়োজনীয়তাও অনশ্বীকার্য। অর্থহীন আজেবাজে কতকগুলি সার্গাম বলতে বা গাইতে পারলেই শিক্ষার্থীর সুর ও স্বরজ্ঞান হয়েছে বলে ধরে নেওয়া যায় না। কন্ঠসাধন দ্বারা প্রকৃত স্বরবোধ উপলব্ধি করতে হলে বাস্তবক্ষেত্রে এদের ব্যবহার অর্থাৎ বৈজ্ঞানিক পদ্ধতিতে ও নিয়মবদ্ধ ভাবে (Scientific Method and Systematic Way)কন্ঠসাধন প্রণালী শিক্ষা দিতে হবে। এছাড়াও পাঠ্যপুস্তক যাতে ছোটদের পক্ষে চিত্তাকর্ষক হয় এবং সঙ্গীতশিক্ষাও যাতে তাদের কাছে খেলা-ধুলার মতোই সহজ ও আনন্দদায়ক হয়ে ওঠে, সেই দিকেও নজর দেওয়া বিশেষ প্রয়োজন।
১। শ্রম না করিলে লেখাপড়া হয় না। যে বালক শ্রম করে, সেই
লেখাপড়া শিখিতে পারে। শ্রম কর, তুমিও লেখাপড়া শিখিতে পারিবে।
২। পরের দ্রব্যে হাত দিও না। না বলিয়া পরের দ্রব্য লইলে চুরি
করা হয়। চুরি করা বড় দোষ। যে চুরি করে, চোর বলিয়া তাহাকে সকলে ঘৃণা করে। চোরকে কেহ প্রত্যয় করে না।
৩। যে বালক প্রত্যহ মন দিয়া লেখাপড়া শিখে, সে সকলের প্রিয়
হয়। যদি তুমি প্রতিদিন মন দিয়া লেখাপড়া শিখ, সকলে তােমায় ভালবাসিবে।
৪। কখনও কাহারও সহিত কলহ করিও না। কলহ করা বড় দোষ।
যে সতত সকলের সহিত কলহ করে, তাহার সহিত কাহারও প্রণয় থাকে না। সকলেই তাহার শত্রু হয়।
